Should i buy - suggestions

Hi Guys,
Found a 2000 Landrover freelander 2.0 tdi for R69,000.00 mileage 115000kms at a dealer - got the cash to buy but have heard some horrible things about these vehicles.
Can anybody shed some light.

Stay away from the freelanders. Most of them give problems.
Rather look at the Range rover 2000-2002 model. (Series 2 i think) Going from R100k-155k and you get a much better vechile.
or the Discovery.

the range rover with its 4.6 liter v8 does about about 5 km to the liter of petrol so i wouldnt go that route... maybe a jeep cherokee ?

Rather get Land Rover Discovery 2...

Also depends what you are planning on doing with it? But you can get a 2002 model for around about R110 000. Awesome off-roaders...

I wouldn't recommend the freelander. Friend of mine actually had the transmission fall out in Mozambique. This and other major problems with the vehicle. Not a bad price though... Resell maybe?
