I have just been contacted by a Telskum employee to tell me that my ADSL installation is planned for the 1 September 2005.
This is after I have been hounding them for the last two weeks, just for them to give me an installation date. I don't know if I am missing something, but I just can't seem to grasp why it takes someone 5 weeks to take two wires from an ISDN port and plug them into an ADSL port, something which by all accounts, takes no longer than an hour. Or have I completely lost the plot
My question is, would it help to try push for a sooner date, or am I just wasting my time and breathe?
I have the number and email for the 'Regional Manager' that services the area I live in, would it maybe speed things up a bit if I give him a ring and tell him my sob story as to why I desperately need ADSL asap.
My ISDN modem recently packed up, and I refuse to spend even ±R300 for a new modem after forking out approx. R1200 for my new ADSL equipment (based on a true story).
