Should I continue to hound them?

I have just been contacted by a Telskum employee to tell me that my ADSL installation is planned for the 1 September 2005.

This is after I have been hounding them for the last two weeks, just for them to give me an installation date. I don't know if I am missing something, but I just can't seem to grasp why it takes someone 5 weeks to take two wires from an ISDN port and plug them into an ADSL port, something which by all accounts, takes no longer than an hour. Or have I completely lost the plot :)
My question is, would it help to try push for a sooner date, or am I just wasting my time and breathe?

I have the number and email for the 'Regional Manager' that services the area I live in, would it maybe speed things up a bit if I give him a ring and tell him my sob story as to why I desperately need ADSL asap.
My ISDN modem recently packed up, and I refuse to spend even ±R300 for a new modem after forking out approx. R1200 for my new ADSL equipment (based on a true story).

Send a "bad service" complaint to ICASA.

The more of these they get, the better.

It takes only an email you can write in less than 10 minutes.

I've given the details under the consumerism heading.
