But I see you only mentioned 3, so the rest are relevant or at least have an element of truth to them
No. I stopped there because your links were clearly just random crud from google. If you can't be bothered to assess them for validity, why the hell should anyone else?
your unproven and deeply biased "knowledge" on your complete dislike of sports.
Did you have trouble following my posts? Because this seems to indicate you did. Then you constructed a colourful strawman from your misunderstanding and decided to start arguing about that instead.

45% of you, who voted, think you know better than people know for themselves.
36% of you think Covid-19 protocols work, even in the face of no proof that they do and with the massive abusive looting by Government officials in lieu of said protocols.

It makes boring days entertaining, to a point, then the stupidity gets old and we move on to something more interesting, like now.
True...man my IQ is bottoming out reading those posts and replying, but it's nearly time to close the laptop. What a long way for my IQ to have fallen too!

What percentage did not vote since they know nobody cares about internet polls?

More a question that I asked, but, you fell for it anyways
"I totally didn't mean it that way!" - come on. Be an adult. Own your behaviour. Good or bad.
have challenged you to provide proof and information to back up your somewhat unfortunate statements.
I provided it. Are you disputing our taxes are being used to prop up professional sports? I provided the budgetary outlines for 2019. Did you peruse them?

Are you arguing schools aren't investing time and effort in providing professional sports with new talent at the cost of education?

Because that's what you appear to be stating, somewhere in there, in which case.. .I have no comeback. Because you are challenging a significant mountain of evidence to the contrary.

If that's not what you're arguing, then why are you arguing?

No, because they were correct in what they were saying. You don't have to be like that, and can admit when you're at fault.

Benefits of Sports to Students – Master of Science in Technical Entrepreneurship and Management at the University of Rochester (From a varsity - I have been to one, graduated too.)

OK, time to get supper on the go and then go do my sport for the week. And walk out with the psychological benefits it gives you. Instead of moping around trying to convince others sports are bad, and doing nothing is good.

Been real, been unenlightening because, like Trump, you have dodged every request of you which proves you have nothing.
Nothing in your bag to prove your pretty useless statements are meaningful or relevant in the real world. Nothing to maybe convince us you know what you're talking about. Nothing to prove you're anything but someone who dislikes sports. Nothing but someone Googling a couple of large words to appear more important and intelligent. Nothing to prove you've read about it and have a half-decent argument to debate.

With nothing to back you, you'd better ensure that tin hat on your head stays there because you'll believe anything.

Physical exercise has plenty of benefits that contribute to education.
Where did I say *anything* negative about participation?

No. Sorry. You've genuinely decided to argue without actually comprehending what I posted.

Sorry. Just drawing my own conclusions, because what you actually said is basically nothing. Just sport is bad. But you don't seem to understand why you hold this view. You just read it on some blog. So it must be true.

@rietrot @Kola_CT @Cray What we should be doing is cutting our intellectual losses here. He's an expert at dodging and diving anything as he has nothing to fall back on.
What I gathered from this is as follows:

1. He hates sports;
2. He dislikes sportsmen/women;
3. He assumes that because people play sports they're not intellectual or clever;
4. Sports is bad and offers ZERO benefits of a physical or psychological nature, but banging away hopelessly at a keyboard with nothing to back you up does;
5. He's quite happy to continue asking for proof while being completely unable to provide any himself;
6. Likes to spout about how people are being abusive but not too averse to dishing it out, albeit on a lesser level;
7. Clearly emotional enough about the topic to want to continue debating people here and try be an intellectual, whilst failing with no proof (which an intellectual would have - hell, even a quick Google search would help);
8. Apparently sports is only about money and fans can't get enjoyment out of it either.

Over and out!

Are you genuinely going with this?

You're completely misreading my statements, ignoring the data provided and choosing to go with... blatant falsehoods?

Nice.

Such and accomplishment for all those fans. They really upped their game... right?
Never said it was an achievement, I said it brought happiness and enjoyment... You clearly don't get it and you are also clearly in the minority. If it makes you feel better to think this makes you more intelligent than the rest of us then knock yourself out.

Well said, am done with him too...

For what? What did you do to achieve this happiness?
So you obviously aren't a fan of things like art, movies, music, theatre...All are things which people enjoy and appreciate besides not achieving anything...?

You clearly don't get it
You clearly don't get that my issue is us wasting man hours, money and lives on professional sports that could be put to far better use securing a future, any future, for us.

By inference, you are quite happy to burn your future down around you as long as it's entertaining and makes you feel some form of reflected accomplishment?

Whats the point of all of the above if you don't derive pleasure from life as well? Professional sports are like everything else in a capitalist society, they exist because people enjoy the skill and athleticism involved and enjoy supporting their team. If no one wanted to watch and support there would be no sponsors, no stadiums and no salaries...

Sure, in a purely logical society we should spend no money on frivolous things that merely bring happiness and rather spend it all on education but am not sure that would be a very enjoyable place to live.

So you obviously aren't a fan of things like art, movies, music, theatre..
Not under discussion but not exactly a false equivalence.

Except for the fact that these are largely self-funded, (aside from some local theatre and the shiat-show that is the SABC which I haven't though of in ... some time), and more importantly aren't impacting education or offering up future generations on the alter of entertainment.
