Well the bullschit clickbait title WOULD cause this poll to be difficult to answer...
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Somethings are worth having a conniption over, but this isn't one of them.

Oh dear.."conniption" ??

The title is click bait and has NO bearing on the actual question asked/put forward in the "article".

Are you saying I am wrong?

I'm saying you need to check your aggression, you're likely to come out second best.

These QODs are light hearted.

Misleading thread title aside, VAT is the most 'equitable' form of tax we have at the moment, so in general I am not for scrapping VAT on almost anything.
The same people that contribute to most of the tax contribute to most of the VAT too. VAT exempt products just make the VAT tax burden just as skewed.

The government cannot just get more and more money...the must stop WASTING/STEALING money.

Yes. Scrap VAT. Double PIT.

Great things demand great sacrifices
So instead of taking 30% of your salary, they should take 60 on average, still with nothing in return given except for poor service delivery?

So those who want to scrap income tax and instead increase VAT how would you make VAT progressive so that poorer people don't pay disproportionately more tax relative to their incomes?

Would a rich person live in a shack without a nice car and only buy the most basic necessities?

Does Pick 'n Pay charge you a different price for a loaf of bread depending on your income?
