He's really disappointing. Thinking he's too good to play for SA prob...I would rather him not playing than to play and still be so arrogant.

Me too. His on the field attitude when he plays for the national team actually harms the morale of the team. His body language stinks.

I think that that cuts both ways. I wouldn't like an employer like SAFA, and I certainly wouldn't like an employee like Benni.
But we're stuck with SAFA.
If I could put myself in Benni shoes I wouldnt wanna play either, I mean hes making tons of money up to R500k a day playing for Blackburn, why risk that playing average football where some jealous cow could possibly break his leg and hes whole career will be ruined.

We paying Perreira more than enough for him to play without Benni, and find someone good enough to do so. I just hope he doesnt use Benni as an excuse and I hope the media can see through that!

as it stands we have one of the poorest team in africa even the countries in civil war have better teams than we do
its simple benni is living the good life getting paid millions a month, why would he want to travel to some of the countries we have to, personally i wouldnt do it

Soccers bigger than rugby or cricket. Worldwide theres more competition bigger brains behind it and financial the other 2 cant compare even together!! We little fish in a very big pond in terms of football!
He's not the first african player to play overseas. He's definitely not the best either. The best african players that are playing overseas are always eager to play for their countries. He's the only one who treats his national team this way.
Forget SAFA. Does anyone remember his body language at the african nations cup? He might as well not have come. I actually think he's one of the reasons why the team played so badly. A lot orf our young players look up to the guy, and he set a very bad example on the field. I'd rather not have him play than him acting like he's doing us a favour.
Mmmm I would say he is the best in terms of football skill and Lucas for his captain skills.
I dont see Fortune coming back either.
As for his abilities here, hes a striker if his own guys are trying to out do him everytime by trying to score and failing, whos fault is that? He plays well for Blackburn coz they feed him the ball.

Ok firstly Lucas has been retired for a while now, so i don't see what he has to do with this. What you're doing is like saying stranski is the best drop kicker in SA. Secondly, Benni is not the best african football player. The best players on the continent don't have attitudes like benni (Drogba, Eto' o. etc).

Guys, clearly your football knowledge needs a bit of work. I suggest you start watching a little less supersport three and familiarise yourselves with South african football. Otherwise this is a pointless argument.
