Where can you get a decent cheapie vintage sized +/- 36mm divers style watch with rotating bezel?

I recently got a great looking Lorus which fits all the criteria but it turns out the bezel doesn’t rotate and considering what it is they aren’t particularly cheap at R1500. It’s supremely irritating because in all other regards it’s near perfect for what I wanted and looks the part but I need a rotating bezel to time things so not having that is a pita.
Get a casio duro.

Luck of the draw I guess.

I’ve paid vat before on other watches. But I don’t think watches carry duties

I’m pretty sure they do, falls under luxury items and they should have charged 15% vat at a minimum, maybe it was just your lucky day.

I just sold an Omega Seamaster 200 on Thursday that would've hit all your requirements. Was quite a bit more than R1500 though

I want cheap, something I can wear doing the dirtiest roughest work or walking in the dodgiest area. But it must still look decent and be a divers style watch. The lorus is perfect, I couldn’t believe my luck finding one that size and it looks great on the arm, it’s 100% exactly what I wanted but no rotating bezel :(

You maybe consider one of the smaller Seiko divers? They're around 38mm though - similar in size to the SKX013 but a generation older. I've got a few here that I'm busy refurbishing

Those won’t be cheap though?
The SKX013 is 37mm which is great but they sell for a mint.

These are the mid divers using the 4205 movements - mid 80’s. I got 13 of them in a joblot, of which I’ve only finished 1 for the missus as she wanted a specific combo. I want to do another 2 for the kids so the rest will just be excess to my needs. I don’t mind putting a few more together but without a demand for them it’s kinda pointless. You welcome to PM me if you want something bespoke

There was a new drop on these late October I think

Had 5 x options in store over weekend

No saturn yet...

What’s the retail vs street/secondary market price on those?

RRP was just over 5k, if there is stock

Seen online for between 100% and 200% more

Only 1 model goes to 4x, 5x the price

Wtf R25K for a non serviceable plastic swatch.
How do you join the queue to pay RRP?

Hope we get to see the video soon!
Heh, I didn’t make a video of this one I’m afraid. I’m doing one on an Aquaracer Chrono though that uses the same Caliber 16 movement.
