Heh, I also thought it was the crystal (which I ordered already - not cheap). When I eventually got it, those marks was actually debris under the crystal. The watch was barely running as well, so full of gunk it was. Someone tried to service it and just screwed it up. Took me most of the week to get it properly rebuilt. Now I have a brand new spare crystal and bezel insert to use elsewhere.

Yes, it’s madness. Even on the auction sites I visit scalpers ask stupid pricing and people aren’t bidding anymore. Now those stupid farks are sitting on stock they can’t sell.

Edit: hahaha I see scalpers dropped pricing to almost normal pricing and still people hardly bid

That's one of the watches I've yet to buy. I have the Oyster Perpetual and a restored Explorer only from Rolex.

Stating you have an Oyster Perpetual is like saying you have a "direct injection, manual" when your friends ask you what car you bought.

Posting a stock pic leads me to believe you rock a Nixon.

Still absolutely loving the FXD, just so comfortable to wear.
If a watch came with a bracelet or a strap, I’d definitely get it with the bracelet, but I’m 100% for certain a strap guy.

In the past I wore my Seamaster on a Hadley Roma Kevlar strap, and it was was awesome, but wasn’t the best quality, and eventually started fraying.

So I wanted to get something similar, but of premium quality. I was going to buy one of the Artem “loop-less” sailcloth straps, but they don’t have stock of the deployant in stainless, only PVD.

So I have now ordered a canvas leather backed strap from Fin Watch Straps, which are apparently of very high quality - https://finwatchstraps.com/collecti...-canvas-with-leather-lining-22x20-mm-20x18-mm

Had to choose DHL, but the price wasn’t too bad, so let’s see how long that takes to get here.

I also ordered 2 “marine nationale” style straps from the watch steward for the FXD.
Courier shipping on those was ridiculous, so I just sent them to my AGS box in New York, which cost $4. The AGS calculator says that the ZA shipping will then cost +-R250, which then becomes very decent.
I’m not expecting this to be a fast process.
