Showmax slashes prices with Capitec deal

MultiChoice has announced a partnership with Capitec that is launching with 50% discounts on Showmax subscription vouchers.

Capitec will sell vouchers in its banking app for Showmax's three individual subscription plans: Showmax Entertainment, Showmax Entertainment Mobile, and Showmax Premier League.

I only pay for YT Premium & povo spec Netflix everything else is the eye patch.

Works well for my needs.

Had a look at the Capitec app to purchase a voucher, don't think the Prem is a option for all devices ? will have to check everything this evening, kinda kak if you have to watch it on mobile

yeah always some kinda catch to kak like this, the app doesnt allow casting but it will mirror, pass!

iPhone to Apple box isn't exactly great with mirroring, not sure what android options look like.

Not sure, maybe those cheap MXQ's might be able to, but the content is probably streamed at 480p.
Not sure how anyone could enjoy that on anything other than a phone/tablet screen.

I wouldn't give MC a cent for anything that's mobile only ; the screenshot shows what I currently get when opening the DStv Stream app since the lastest small update.

Before that at least some app functions worked, but not the main one - ie. streaming content.

The few things I want to watch each month I can still do so, on Android TV, otherwise would definitely be cancelling their streaming service.

There's probably nothing in the works anyway. MC have shown the best they can do is those 24 month contracts.
