ShowMax - broadband requirements, pricing, and supported devices

I'm up on the 7 day trial, tested it on my Samsung 55" Curve and I must say it plays smoothly, but the quality appears to be very low. (Not even SD quality)

It's probably some adaptive adjustment based on line speed but my line speed isn't that bad at the moment, I can play HD youtube just fine. I still have to play a few videos to be sure it's a consistent thing. Maybe there's a setting somewhere but I can't seem to find it on the Smart TV...

EDIT: So at least I get SD quality now, not sure what improved it :D

It just dawned on me the Samsung app will probably only be in the SA store, so you have to choose between Netflix or Showmax?

Sigh. Thanks for the update. Will have to keep my laptop in the loop then.

Quite a few shows on there that I have missed on Netflix (GoT, Suits & Sopranos, notably) and I have previously decided that I wouldn't mind paying a little extra for Netflix if these were added to the selection. If this works as advertised, I'm sold at R99pm
