From a black person's point of view, the problem is not the Showmax subscription. Many can afford the R49, even the R99. But having to shell out R150 for a GIG of data which won't even cover the download of a single 30 minutes episode of your favourite series is the problem.

A gig would cover about 4 30 min episodes, if you can get it at SD quality.
