Showmax beats Netflix and Disney+ in mobile data consumption

MultiChoice's Showmax has the best mobile data-saving setting of the four major subscription-based video streaming services in South Africa, according to tests performed by MyBroadband.

In South Africa, Showmax, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, and Netflix offer mobile-only entry-level subscriptions restricted to smartphones and tablets.
 
"Showmax and its parent argue that demand for 4K is limited across Africa and other emerging markets due to infrastructure challenges." sorry but that is RUBBISH. The customer dictates demand and with the push at bigger screens like 60" etc it needs 4K

So frustrating. I have Showmax but I pirate The Penguin so I can see it at its best. My strategy if I was them would be to offer 4K for certain shows, enhance their prestige as such.
