Showmax last night, what gives?

Showmax kept on buffering last night, very 10 seconds or so the stream will just freeze, then it will be fine for 10 or so minutes. Very very frustrating.

Sometimes I had to exit Showmax and logo back in to get a stream going. On the other hand, Youtube was streaming at 1080p all the time.
 
Weird.... Yesterday i only watched movies on Showmax and had no problems ?
 
Same issue here and experienced it also with DSTV Now. Switched to Netflix for the remainder of the evening.
 
Anyone having issues signing in when using smartdns proxy, it used work end of last year but now wont let me sign in on apple tv4, tried on the web and it went right in BUT doesnt play anything.
 
I have SmartDNS Proxy and could not access Showmax (via the app or website) until I disabled the SmartDNS proxies on my router. Anyone know of any workarounds? I guess SmartDNS is making Showmax think that I'm not in SA.
 
Had to disable smartdns servers under routers DNS, then it starting working right away.

Workarounds?
Need smartdns for Hulu

Show max buffers all the time, no prob on Netflix or any other App. Viewing Showmax has become total torture :(
