Showmax no longer working with DSTV Premium?

Since about Friday, my Showmax account, which is linked to my DSTV Premium account no longer works. It states that the subscription is not active.

If one tries to activate it, there are various payment options, or you can try select "DSTV Premium" as an option. This just throws a generic error stating that it failed.

Has DSTV suddenly removed Showmax, or is this just an issue affecting me?
Obviously do not want to pay for it, so it needs to work with the DSTV package. Think I read somewhere that this benefit falls away around April next year. Was I mistaken, and it has actually been disabled now?

I just checked and it's linked to DSTV premium.

When Showmax launched the special for DStv Premium subscribers, it stated in its terms and conditions that the free subscription would end on 31 March 2019.

“This offer terminates 31 March 2019, after which the prevailing monthly rate for Showmax will prevail,” stated the terms and conditions.

It stated that, currently, there is no intention to change the expiration date.

Yes, as previously mentioned it's set for March 31st 2019. Seems more likely to me that it was just a fault.

Maybe they have, the most recent thing I found was that article from last month but things could have changed.

I checked now, it is still stated in the terms and conditions. I would stick to the given date than Multichoice spinning it elsewhere. 31 March 2019 it is then. I have to laugh at the expiration date set as 'unlimited' in the customer panel. Knowing the debacle between unlimited and uncapped internet...

I signed up since they announced this and up to now I have not watched a single title. So I guess I won't miss it.

Update – MultiChoice told MyBroadband that it has no intention to stop the free Showmax offer, and as things stand at the moment, they have not made a decision to end the free Showmax offer with DStv Premium. Read the full update here.
