Yip, premium brand R650 for firehawk etc. Got a price on the OP's size a few weeks back.165? I think it's R499 for a tyre.
Its safe to plug anything but a sidewall. Seriously don't risk it, your life is worth more than that.
Hi all
So I recently misjudged a turn and accidentally mounted a kerb with my front left tire.
Damaged the sidewall in only one place, but I didn't drive any further, as soon as I saw air leaking out of the tire, I changed wheel and continued driving.
Took the damaged tire to the franchised tiger wheel, supa quick, tires and more ect
All told me the same spiel, cannot repair under any circumstances, MUST Replace as there is a big risk of a blowout.
I did manage to find a guy who did fix it though, but to be safe using this tire as a spare in the meanwhile,
Guy fixed it quite well, holding pressure quite well, but how safe is it?
Internet suggest it is possible to fix, if its done correctly, but why the dire warnings? And no franchise tire store wanting to touch my tire?
Thought I'd ask here, as at least nobody here trying to sell me a new tire with 40% markup......
Tire size is 165/60 R14 not sure if that's relevant.....
I would not even put a tube in it unless it's a very last resort if you're stuck between Pofadder and Springbok![]()
Hey hey hey. I lived in Springbok. No need to be a bitch.

Hey hey hey. I lived in Springbok.
And I lived in Nababeep at one time..........
That's what they done on mine, seems good enough, holds pressure, and seems fine, but not taking the chance, driving on my spare.this one guy here at work got his 19inch tyre off his bmw 428i fixed.
the sidewall was apparently "vulcanized"
I was WTF did you get SPOCK to fix it?
some google tells me this vulcanizing voodoo works.
anyone here know about it?
