Sidewall tire repair possible?

Its safe to plug anything but a sidewall. Seriously dont risk it, your life is worth more than that.
 
Why don't you ask us this when you're parked on your roof in a ditch. Jokes aside, throw that tyre away. You're asking for trouble by going place to place until someone will fix it. Of course someone will do it for a couple bucks. Not their life after all. Go buy a new decent tyre. In fact buy 2 new front tyres and keep the rest as back up. Sheesh. Okes tryna take shortcuts.
 
Retread for a 14"? You doing it wrong son. Throw that tyre away. You don't want to be driving far on a suspect tyre.

Tire size is 165/60 R14 not sure if that's relevant.....

You can have a tube fitted to it.

However, NEVER plug a side wall. I would not even put a tube in it unless it's a very last resort if you're stuck between Pofadder and Springbok :D
 
People need to realize that the most important thing on a car is the tires .
You can have a state of the art premium car with the best brakes and traction control in the world , your tires are the only thing in contact with the road .
If your tires fail , your car fails . Does not matter whether you drive a POS or a Ferrari .
That couple of square cm of tyre making contact with the road is what matters most.

Another question;

If the cops pull me over(as if) can I get a ticket for such a thing?

Jail time? Licence demerit points?

Just trying to understand the risks if I have to drive with it,
Also where can I get those tires for R500? I must go there immediately....
 
this one guy here at work got his 19inch tyre off his bmw 428i fixed.
the sidewall was apparently "vulcanized"
I was WTF did you get SPOCK to fix it?

some google tells me this vulcanizing voodoo works.
anyone here know about it?

That's what they done on mine, seems good enough, holds pressure, and seems fine, but not taking the chance, driving on my spare.
