Signal booster for 3g usb modem

Do any of you know where i can go or who i can phone to purchase a signal booster for a 3g usb modem ?
It's the K3770 range.
Vodacom outlets in malls don't sell it apparently, and i cannot get help from vodaworld.

The signal we are getting is weak (only getting EDGE) and we just need something to improve the signal.

For a DIY option google woktenna. Currently using one, works well (1 bar to 3 bars)

I battled with signal horribly in my complex and had 4 near useless Vodacom contracts.

I nagged and nagged ... and eventually Vodacom installed something that looks like the above link. It works - very well. It takes me from 0.00kbps to almost 1mb/sec - so I'm really chuffed. I literally flick the plug 'on', and check all devices go from EDGE to 3G within seconds.

So the question is the thing that they installed at my place (Jannie assisted) looks identical - is it the same as the link I posted? If so, it works great ... but the one difference is that I have nothing attached to my modem/phone.
 
From what I understand, the antenna's do exactly the same thing, different manufacturer. They all boost signal levels of whatever it is attached to.

But I am unsure how you do not have anything attached to your modem. So I assume Vodacom installed some sort of booster/extender in your house for you to boost the indoor signal levels.

These antennas can be used connected to a booster/extender, or directly to the USB modem or 3G router. Either way it is boosting the signal level to whatever it is attached to.
 
There are two types the repeater has no physical connection but the preamp or yagi type antenna will need a connection whether it is induced or a pig tail connection
