How can I detrermine which Vodacom Tower in my area give the strongest signal to have a better receptin on my internet as my signal is very unstable

I don't believe that you can chose which tower you connect it. The choice is automatically done. You can try the following
1) if your modem is on USB then get an extension cable and put the modem high up, If possible out the window.

2) if the modem has the option then get an external antennae.

Bad Signal

I have an external High gain antenna from Poynting. My signal is very unstable. I thought by pointing at an onother tower might give me a more stable signal. Your advice will be appreciated.

Hi Amersfoort ~ Vodacom will not be able to let you know exactly where the towers are that you are getting your 3G or HSDPA signal from. I suppose you know this ...
Best would be to do a test; 360 degrees with the antenna and a small software program you can download.

Download the current version and read the “readme.txt” file.
Make sure the tool is measuring 3G only. Use this then to determine were the best signal is coming from.
Green is good.

If you look at your watch, there are twelve positions, right; turn the antenna in all twelve positions and keep it there for a minute when testing.
