hey guys, does your signal influence your speed in any way? i usually have very low signal, usually between 4-8% but the speed seems fine usually, lately the signal is never higher than 4% and while web pages are loading there's a pause sometimes and then it carries on loading again, is this because of the signal?

hmmm, apparently it does, i moved the antenna a bit today and went back up to 2 bars signal, just did a speed test and get 125.20 kbps, that's like full speed for my 128K connection! it's cruising now again, halleluja i say!

Hmmm... well, it doesn't affect your speed directly... it is more a problem for connecting and staying connected (for a while, we had 7% signal, and whenever heavy winds started, our connection became a bit unreliable... it's been sorted and we now get 12% with no antenna).

The way it would affect your speed is by the increase of dropped packets between your modem and the tower, which can eat into your bandwidth.
