So in our complex, Frogfoot setup fibre a couple years back but we have never been able to get them to activate it as they say entire complex has to signoff on it.

Fine, we got everybody to sign - we then told we in Vuma's area, contact Vum and they say we in Frogfoot area so back and forth.
Even though Frogfoot is signed on the fibre boxes to each unit?

Openserve call from no. +27 10 035 0494, asking for lots of info to signup to fibre -

Does this not seem dodgy?

Hi @Hemps

It's quite odd that you're experiencing such difficulties with activating your fibre connection. Typically, Fibre Network Operators (FNOs) have a clear understanding of their infrastructure and the areas they are in.

Given the confusion with Frogfoot and Vuma, it might be beneficial to consult with our sales team. They can provide specific guidance and assistance in navigating this issue.

Regarding the call from Openserve, while they are a major FNO, it's important to verify the legitimacy of the request and the source of the information. It's advisable to exercise caution and only provide necessary information to authorized representatives.

Please feel free to reach out to our sales team directly ([email protected]) or our call centre 086 999 0161 to get help with getting your connection connected and we will assist you step by step.

Best regards,
Mind The Speed Team

Ahh ok seems Openserve are appearing as pre-order on Axxess, Afrihost and even Vox now for my area.

This typically occurs when fiber is under construction in an area and not yet active. You can pre-order your connection, and once the area is live, they'll install and activate your fiber line. The timeline for activation can vary from weeks to months, depending on the construction phase and whether the area is being activated in stages or all at once.

Additionally, we can help you explore fiber connectivity options with providers like Openserve, Vumatel, Frogfoot, and Metro Fibre. You can have a look at the packages we offer on our website : www.mindthespeed.co.za

I live in a semi-rural area. The dorpie has fibre in certain areas only. What are my options if I can't even search for my address on your website? Is it possible to do a pre-order?

Hi @veniqe ,

To explore your options with Mind the Speed, we recommend contacting our sales team. You can reach them via email at [email protected] or by phone at 086 999 0161. They will be happy to discuss available plans and packages with you.

If fibre service is not yet available in your area, but a go-live date has been provided, you can still place an order. Once fibre service becomes active in your area, your connection will be established.

Regards,
MTS Team
