Silent cpu fans...

Heloz my amd 6000+ came with a copper fan heatsink and as i just got a new power supply a Vantec ion 2+ 600 watt which is as quiet as a rock, I want my cpu fan to be the same. i want it to be cheap, silent, good looking (meaning sexy led's and stuff) and cool well for marginal overclocking.

So any ideas?

You'd have to look for a pricey Zalman or CoolerMaster cooler for this. Maybe you don't have to spend that much but I'm not sure. I recommend contacting PostmanPot for this.

Would suggest a Zalman CNPS 9700 LED, looks cool, runs quiet. You might need an extra bracket for your AMD though. http://www.zalman.com/eng/product/product_read.asp?idx=164

How much exactly do you want to spend?
This will be more than R400, roughly.

The 9700 should already fit the AM2 socket.

It says that it supports AMD sockets: 754/939/940/AMx/1207

Which means it comes with the bracket.

Well there is the Zalman CNPS7000C which is what I have but if you get the one above mine, It's below R300 and it supports silent mode

Oh it's called Zalman CNPS7000B-Cu LED. Retails for about R300

At prophecy it's only R20 difference in price between your one and this the only difference is that this got leds.
