:( Hi everyone, I hope that there is at the very least one person out there that can help me. Preferably in the Pietermaritzburg area. I am looking for Silkworm eggs, I have a Bearded Dragon and need them to feed to her. Well the Silkworms will be fed to her not the eggs. Nobody seems to have them and I cannot wait until they hatch in September.

Waiting patiently for a response. :D

I doubt your bearded dragon can wait that long either....hope you come right.

I use to have silkworms as a kid...had boxes full of the stuff...then my mom got fed up one day and sprayed Doom all over them. The silkworms basically sit up on their last couple of legs, make these freaky circles with their heads and make this vey high pitched crying noise before they die...yeah...just thought I'd share that...

Dude that is fuskin sick man, must suck to be your dad with a wife as brutal as that.

Nah, my mom isn't brutal and this was years ago...at least 15...I also think I had like 4 or 5 boxes full of silkworms, must have been at least 500 of the buggers. I also got bored with them and I think my mom got fed up with having to nag me to take care of them...

A work colleague of my SO has some eggs. Trying to find out when they are due to hatch.

Just put the eggs near something warm...I use to leave my boxes near the tumble drier at home and my worms would start hatching in July...

I had silkworms as a kid ... turned to moths ... laid eggs ... nothing :/

Eggs never hatched :(

A tip for every parent. Pop that unhatched eggs in the microwave for a few seconds and keep quiet. The kids will wait for the worms to hatch forever, and you'll save yourself a heap of hassels.:D
