Hey guys
I just did a complete harddrive "transfer" at a data recovery company. Now when I start my computer it loads until the very end of the bootscreen, just when it needs to load the windows interface and the suddenly it quickly shows a blue-screen error and restarts. On the restart I can however start the pc in Safe-Mode. Due to the transfer my Win XP needs to be reactivated which can only be done in Normal Mode (which I can't access) :)
What can be causing this behaviour? I've tried Google, and will do some more Googling.
Thanks in advance!
Regards

Will a Installation Repair do the trick maybe? Don't know if I can restore the drive, since it has been "tranfered" about 2 hours ago to this new drive.
*edit* well, it shows a restore made 4 days ago before my previous drive (the faulty Seagate) gave in... So I don't know if I should restore to that time, since something can go horribly wrong...

Perhaps, but it seems somethings corrupted in the OS. Sys restore wont work prob you're right, as you've probably got no restore points. Dble check that first.

You can try a repair, probably your best option right now, with least labour.

Don't forget to backup.

GL again :P

Okay, I got sorted. Just hit F8 and the "Last Settings that worked" option, and my PC booted just fine! Thanks a lot guys!
