Hi Guys

I know this isn't motoring or a post with much speeeeed and many horse powers but it is transportation so this seemed the best place to post the thread.

Currently I ride a Silverback Sola 4 mountain bike and have enjoy the bike a lot but have decided for race purposes I should get a road bike. I have been looking at buying a new road bike and have been looking at the Silverback Space 1 or the Merida Scultura 4000 both of which are in a similar price bracket and both are full carbon road bikes.

The Silverback groupset is Ultegra where as the Merida is only a 105 group set. How huge is the difference between these 2?

Also want to inquire on the after sales support on the 2 companies? from what i have read (haven't need to contact Silverback about my current bike) Silverbacks after sales support is amazing.

thanks for the help.

I would suggest joining "TheHub.co.za" as those guys talk bike!
I'm from the Merida crowd, and my aftersales service also great so far, so 2 greats then.
Stick with Silverback if you are happy!

Merida is my brand of choice for now.
