Greetings & Salutations to The Mobile phone Techies...... I need your assistance....

I have a Samsung S3 Mini...... I rooted it about 10 months ago, no problem, I have not installed any new apps over the last month or so and in fact hardly ever use my phone.

Out of the blue yesterday , my battery started losing power fairly rapidly, so I disabled a number of apps from startup and now I am getting a Sim Card Crash error........

I think it might be time to reset my mobile back to factory settings....

Will I have to take the phone back to my SP if I do a factory reset?

Do I even need to do a reset?

I thank thee in advance....

Firstly, remove the card and clean it and the sim card contacts on the phone.

Test. If fail, try another sim, test. If fail , you can factory reset it yourself. Google is your friend, or we can send info.

See if their is perhaps a software update for your phone.

my S3 mini battery also started to degrade quickly, the battery was actually expanding. I suggest keeping an eye for this and if need be, replace the battery

Just cleaned her up, boots up in 52s ans all seems fine.....will keep an eye for the sim card crash....

Battery, she looks fine......... will keep an eye.....

just disabled everything but the basics to see how long the battery lasts..... use to go four days without a charge, now , overnight, she is needing a boost......

in all honesty, much to the horror of many folk, I hardly use the phone, detest the idea that people can call me whenever it pleases them....... use it mostly for shop alarms....

thanks....

The battery does go a bit whack in the S3 Mini with swelling. Mine is downclocked with Antutu so it doesn't hit the battery hard.

Thanks! Overnight test, only lost 5% of battery life, so the reseating and cleaning of the sim and battery appears to have done the trick....
