I'd like to know if it is possible to duplicate a sim-card ?

I received 3 sms a few minutes ago.

2 of them Contained Settings for MMS and WAP respectively and the first one said the following:

Yello, your sim card has been inserted into a new handset. MMS and WAP settings are being sent to you.

Now i have not removed or re-inserted my sim card into my handset or any other handset. Could it be that my sim card has somehow been duplicated and been inserted into another handset ? Could it just be that my sim somehow just re-registered itself to the network or something not sure how it would do that as i'm sure it would have to link to a phone IEMI somehow to pick up that it may be with a new handset.

Any ideas would be appreciated i'd hate to pick up a huge phone bill next month or the month after if my sim was somehow duplicated.

Thx.

Its definitely possible to clone a sim card. Its a fairly simple process if you have the right tools.

Most likely your sim has reregistered but you would need to contact your provider - they should be able to check on your IMSI no.
