Have been using my prepaid MTN number for the past several years without a problem, but all of a sudden I started to get "SIM Card registration failed" error messages yesterday and cannot log onto the network.
Called 173 this morning and although the help desk agent battled to understand what I meant, he promised to reset the SIM on the network. Still did not solve the issue if he indeed did reset it.
The SIM is not RICA'd as yet, but as far as I know the cutoff date is only at the end of the year? Are they allowed to cut off SIM cards before this date if this is indeed the problem?
BTW, what does this error message mean that pops up when you try to pre-register for RICA on the MTN Website? I checked that all the details are filled in correctly, but it keeps on showing me this every time I click the submit button.
