Sim cards + prepaid

Hi all,

I gave a friend my old MTN samsung I600 (which is network locked), which was used with a 128k sim card, but he is unable to use it so far.

His prepaid sim is not 128k and the phone does not pick it up! I've tried inserting my vodacom 128k sim and it picks it up fine although requests an unlock code?? Any solution for me, dialing 083173 is terribly painful. Is it the sim card (as I think it is)? If so where can one obtain a 128k MTN prepaid simcard (sim swap) and at what cost? or who can I contact?

if he has a 32K or beter sim card it should work OK, but if he has an old 16K then im guessing thats the problem/
with regard the sim swop any mtn shop will have one
