sim not activated

Yesterday I bought a Virgin sim to be used surfing the net...I tried to activate it using the activation string, but got an error message : "error at VM"...When I tried to call the Call Center, I got a recorded message stating my service has been suspended and to please contact Virgin...I called them from my landline at cell rates, because somehow its nearly impossible calling Virgin, using the "123" number if the sim is not active.

The agent told me to use the activation string and switch the phone off for ten minutes...I did so, but after 25 hours, the sim is not active...This is the second virgin sim I have this problem with...And I cant even contact the Call Center to have them sort out the problem.

I have never experienced this with the other networks...Sims are active within a few minutes and I can access the call centers...Anyone from Virgin like to help me with this problem? Anyone had similar problems?
 
Hi Gyro250Hz,

Activating a new sim should not take such a long time & i do sincerely aplogise for the delay. Pls PM me your cellphone number so that i can activate it for you immediately.
