I have searched the forum, but was unable to find the info I am looking for...

I know one can do a sim swop yourself, if you are a contract customer, but how does it work if you are a prepaid customer? I need to change from a normal sim to a nano sim and don't want to cut it.

Have done many a SIM swop whilst on prepaid.
Did it instore - took RICA docs and answered the variety of questions. Last time cost was R20.00 (c~18 months ago).

How to do a Prepaid SIM swap

•Buy a new Prepaid starter pack and register it for RICA.
•Dial 100 from the new SIM.
•Select the option to use your old cellphone number.
•You will be routed to a call centre consultant who will do the SIM swap for you.
•Put your new SIM into your device. It will take between two and 24 hours before the new SIM card is activated.

The agents ask questions like what is your airtime balance and last 5 numbers you have called, so note those down before you switch.
