I haven't seen a thread about this game yet. The last game I was this amped for was BF3.

Trailer:

I'm actually contemplating for a while now, whether I should pre-order. And I never pre-ordering anything.

Also excited for a new simcity , hopefully won't be as difficult as the previous.

I've never been this excited for a game, just hope they've kept it simple and true to the old ones and not messed around too much.

I love the complexity!

Sim City Yay! IP Masked ready for Tuesday.

Yep, Sim City looks awesome... Definitely buying this! :)

Since the whole Colonial Marines demo debacle and seeing that in the Simcity announcement trailer it is made clear on the bottom that the “Images not representative of actual gameplay”, it will be sorry not to see such a lively game. I only hope that the trailer will hold some truth to the nature of the gameplay.

You must watch the gameplay strategy videos on youtube. It looks amazing.

I hope this also has cheats. Destroying my city was the funnest part.

he negative points of the new SimCity (2013) more mentioned in forums of SimCity fans are:

- No option 100% offline with single player mode.
- Always-on connection to Origin (EA servers).
- Limitations to players in fake single player mode.

- The presence of empty spaces not editable (useless empty spaces) with automatic road connections.
- Absence of terraforming.
- Absence of farms.
- Not being able to save your maps on the hard drive (you will not be able to reload the city to a stage prior to disasters).
- Road connections placed in a fixed and pre-determined location in the map.
- Airport City (the city is only one International Airport, occupying the entire map 2x2km).
- Absence of subway.
- Automatic road connections.
- Player doesn’t have complete control over the zoning by population density (almost automatic zoning).
- Dead space between all the buildings.
- Size of the maps is 2km by 2km (small maps).
- Not being able to control the regional transport.
- Modding restrictions.

Damm at the Bold parts , and i was so looking forward to this

I got into the beta and while I went into it with a bunch of concerns ... the above was the only major concern I ended up with. With the previous simcities one had to start out small and gradually ramp up your city and balance out the finances while doing just that. In the beta I managed to reach my city limits on all four sides within an hour with the city not showing any signs of stopping. I hope they will bring in WAAAAAY larger maps and also give one an option re: difficulty (although I do not see this happening because of the multiplayer aspect). :(

Will be buying mine in April or a wee bit later once the prices come down a bit.

Had a look at the site that came from and most of it I really couldn't care less about... The always on connection is here to stay I'm afraid, it's how they're gonna kill us pirates. The only thing that does concern me like ld13 above is the city size and maybe the auto road placement but not having played the game I'm not entirely sure what they're talking about so will just wait and see.

This is not something to worry about imo. The game merely places automatic road links between maps/cities within a region.
