Simcity 5 Which server and MyBB map

Finally got round to install Simcity and played around for a bit. Enjoy the game so far, even with the broken AI.
Some things that I still have some questions about is all the different Servers to choose from? Does it really matter where one play? Have seen no difference playing on Antarctic server vs Europe West 1.
Where do you guys play and have there been MYBB areas created?

Im on America West 3. Got my city to 130,000 and then suddenly got an error saying "there was an error processing your game" - which kicked me out to the main menu. then i had the option to roll back or abandon the city. i chose roll back now the game refuses to load my city. this is the 3rd time its happened to me! extremely frustrating!
