Not sure if this is the correct forum.
So I got my 14 day trial today and am streaming music legally in South africa without a VPN :)
3 days early cause I pre-subscribed.
The service officially launches on Monday 27th August.
It costs R60/month with some discounts for longer subscriptions.
There are over 18 million tracks available. It has found everything I have looked for and then some rarer recordings and live concert recordings I didnt even know existed.
There is a big collection of local music aswell.
Definatly something for everyone.
One of the nicest features is the ability to download tracks and albums to your device to listen offline.

Of course you cant transfer the files off the device but do you really need that.

There are apps for PC, Andriod, Blackberry and Iphone/Ipad.

It is primarily a streaming service and the quality is really good.

the best bit is how fast it is, within a few seconds (like 3) the music starts without any jitters or buffering.
Since the content is hosted locally the speed is great and bandwidth friendly.

How cool is it to have 18 milion track available to you using only a internet connection.
No more keeping a huge collection of mp3's when I can have anything I like or others want to hear at my fingertips.
Some critisism, the android interface isnt great, but perfectly functional.
It even runs on the newer quad core tablets (asus infinity used for testing)
SO go get it, you get a 14 day free trial which is well worth it in my opinion.

I'm on uncapped WiFi so dont know.
With data costs on 3G i wouldnt even try it.
They say about 160mb / hour but it is a bit of a how long is a piece of string type question.
I belive their stuff is encoded to 256kbps

According to Windows' resource monitor, just under 30KBps usage while streaming

And once your subscription expires you cannot play your songs, basically you are renting the music from them.
