Anyone else playing with Simfy on iBurst? I notice the web streaming is a bit more prone to buffering pauses on iBurst than on 8ta or ADSL. The Blackberry app seems to manage its buffering better, since the difference pretty much disappears.

I played with it on Friday and yesterday via iBurst and had a great experience. Didn't buffer once.

Today - useless. Seems as if the connection to their servers is down (I think they're hosted in Germany - which is a shame, would be nice to see them hosted here... :( ). Probably iBurst' fault.

Edit: Sorry, not sure that they are hosted in Germany, just assumed that why as they were originally a German company. Trace routing the connection goes to telia.net which seems to be in Sweden, thus still seems like they are hosted in Europe somewhere. Times out after the 8th jump, though.

See the "Network Status & Issues" sticky - there's been a problem with international connections since yesterday. Right now, I can load Facebook, but not Twitter; earlier, Imgur first timed out, then part-loaded, then worked; last night, I could access the Telegraph and BBC, but not the Guardian; and so on.

OK, I see from the Sticky that most of iBurst's traffic goes through telia.net - so ignore my comment on German hosted. Well, I guess it is still internationally hosted.

Come on guys, invest in South Africa.

Would be a whole lot better if my CellC stick worked.

Ran Simfy on a BlackBerry and iBurst for several hours this evening without any difficulty. Caught up on some Tears for Fears albums I'd missed.

I know this is in the iBurst forum, but can you stream simfy over Blackberry BIS? Or is it via the normal internet APNs/Wifi only?

No, it doesn't work over BIS, which isn't surprising given it goes through about 90 MB per hour.
