Howzit guys,

In an ocean of options I'm struggling to really isolate a good decision. My needs are pretty simple, I think. Would like to power a PC (650w PSU with an RTX 2080 GPU) for 4 hours. Single 27" Acer 144Hz monitor. Router not required.

Ideally would also prefer low noise, and batteries that have some decent lifetime if possible. I cannot wait until September.

Currently have this hooked up:

Under gaming load, the data shows as follows:

All that said, do I need an upgrade? If so, for my needs is there a clear smart choice?

Appreciate any input here, cheers.

Just add a second battery in parallel.

Is that load measurement from the inverter 's display?

4 hours is long. What's your budget? AGM you don't want to run down further than 50% for longevity

Well I did answer that one With the 4 x LA's in parallel :p
Yup that would work, but the schlep
Here is an interesting video on LA vs LFP

Seems that most times those premium AGM batteries don't actually perform as well as the simple flooded, my anecdotal evidence does seem to be true. As I had 4 AGM "solar" batteries that died within 6 months and my old Royal floodeds are still going, sure someone else is using them but still chugging along 2 years later.

I agree with this 100%

Yes, just get the cheapest LA you can find.
Place order for LFP.

Yup pretty much this :)
Though I still see people moaning about battery suppliers/inverter installers moaning that their batteries didn't even last 6 months and the suppliers must come and inspect them and they must be a scam. It's like actually no LA batteries just suck period, you'll never get the rated AH and they really can be finicky, there is a reason it's 6months to a year on batteries and even than good luck getting them replaced.

Check voltage of battery first before accepting sale. 12.6V+
Don’t do heavy loads.
Don’t drain past 50%.
