Sims 2 Mania...?

My girlfriend plays sims2 ALL the time and it's driving me up the wall. I know its a fun game(in its own way) but what do you think makes sims2 a compulsive game to play? (Hell she has about R2000 worth of sims2 expansions stuff)

And any thought on getting her to play some more "stressfull" games (as she puts it) with me?

My sister also fell into that trap and for me... I hate that game with a passion

I knew when I saw Sims 2 the first them there would be hundreds of expansion sets to go with it

Any woman who plays sims will love it, its the whole family type vibe, love, etc that gets them addicted, designing their dream house etc

I actually checked a theory once (when sims 1 was big) and it goes like this: if you have a gf who loves family and wants a family etc, she'll love sims, if shes not interested in kids, doesn't do the whole family thing, she wont play sims.

I used to be obsessed with it too...then one day I just got over it. I was like wtf? The gameplay is quite boring really, and I spent hours and hours on it. Thank goodness I'm past that stage!
