Is it possible to download 2 fairly large file (150mb-200mb) at the same time without the connection being dropped or timing out??

Reason I ask, is becuase I have a few megaupload and rapidshare downloads I want to get done. At the moment I am doing one at a time for fear of wasting bandwidth with stupid timeouts.

Try using mipony www.mipony.com (It helps if u have premium accounts) as for timing out, well thats your connection/ISP...

EDIT: BTW I think it resumes downloads too...

Thanks. I actually use JDownloader which does the same thing. But will give Mipony a try.

P.S. my problem is with the timeout story. I know if you have a good stable reliable connection you should be able to download from many sources without hassle. The thing is, when I download stuff, and surf the net at the same time, my downloads drop now and then (not always, but also depends which sites I visit)

wont waste bandwidth, just waste my time with downloads not completing......or did you mean download one at a time after midnight :erm:

I connect and share the internet connection between 2 PCs. I find that you can do many things at once. Steam, download, youtube caching on one PC, and browsing/youtube and uploading on the other all at the same time. What I have found though, is that if you get soft capped [go onto that 64K thing], then you are like limited to one or 2 connections - simply put, I cant browse if something else is using the connection. Horribly frustrating. Currently, internet is "free" between 12 and 8am - download then while uncapped and you should be fine.

I do it all the time and never had any issues yet with the connection being dropped. With multiple downloads your download speed should be affected but there should be no reason for a connection being dropped. It probably depends on your ISP.
