Ritual's SiN 2 is official. Not only that, but the sequel is boasting strong links with Valve Software. It's being built on a tweaked version of Valve's Source engine and according to word in PC Gamer magazine will be released in a number of episodes over Steam, each episode said to be six hours in length and being flogged at around $20 a pop.

Hmmm, I don't have a great deal of faith in Rituals ability to produce a good game anymore.

Sin was a flop, due to it's ass being kicked by Half-Life. It had a better engine, advanced scripting but suffered from lack-lustre gameplay, show stopping bugs and horrible cut-scenes.

Fakk2 was not much better - also a commercial flop.

Take a look at their games page :-

Not much to crow about there.

I've always wanted Ritual to succeed at making a great FPS, but so far, they've only shown promise and have not yet got all the way.

Great ideas and fantastic engine enhancements have been let down by what is buggy half-complete gameplay.

lets wait for the reviews... the issue with STEAM games is that you cant really re-sell the game if you dont like it.

maybe they will release a STEAM demo of the game before selling it...

I just have a problem with steam games full stop. Forcing people to have broadband internet for single player games is complete BS.

thats coz we are in SA... broadband is a fact of life in the US and EU... blame Telkom i suppose?
