Do we fax to fax an application to Telkom to upgrade our ADSL line? I don't ever recall it having to be like this :(.
 
I phoned 10219 and they told me I have to fax an application for upgradation to 0800 203 736 :/ . It kinda sucks when you don't have access to a fax line.
 
maybe the operator just did not feel like performing the upgrade (monday blues) and just advised you to fax to ensure she can do nothing for the next 20 mins or so..... ;)
 
Ye, the guy didn't seem really up to it. I phoned again for good measure and spoke to a very helpful lady. It's done and I had no need of faxing anything through! She was also very happy about the business given to Telkom, lol. Seems there are going to be rough times ahead! There is also this handy fax utility that they are offering for free until the 1st November. I got it enabled just to see what is what!
 
Handy fax utility? Please give some more info when you've had a look at it.
 
Basically you have faxes that are sent to your phone line referred to your e-mail address. You can then view them at your discretion and decide which ones to print. All people need to do is add the digits '088' in front of your number so that they can fax you in this way.
