We want to run a oil jacket boiler which requires about 40 kW heating elements. The power supply is single phase, as this is a residential area - upgrading to 3 phase is extremely expensive.

Where can i get a converter from the single phase to 3 phase that we can use to heat boiler.

Is the there any other alternative, the jacket boiler must be heated up to 120 degrees for 1 one from time to time.

Please assist with suggestions. [email protected] 082 319 5154, may whatup as well.

40KW? I'm sorry to say, even if you "convert" single phase to 3 phase, that you wouldn't have enough power from a home installation.
Typically your house breaker is rated at 60amp, the one on the pole/box at street level would be 80amp, even If you ask to upgrade your house to 80amp, the street breaker would be 100amp.

You would need 167amp.

The "converter" would be so expensive, you would be better off upgrading your infrastucture to 3 phase the correct way. That is now when you get the council to upgrade your supply to 200amp. (Not happening)

Can't imagine any legit scenario that would require one of those in a residential area...

What irritate me the more i think about it, why do people want to convert something small to something big because they are cheapskate?

It's like saying, we have this 18 wheeler, but got it without a engine, Then they come to a technical forum, no greeting, nothing, and ask for a miracle converter to fix their problem.

Yes sir, take your 1.4 liter polo engine, i'll help you with a converter, and then you build it into you 18 wheeler. You can't make or break energy, just convert, so if you don't have enough of said energy, then no converter in this world would fix your problem.

Maybe I'm ranting at the wrong guy, but i hate this mentality that i see everywhere, we want this, and this, and it must make fries, and we only want to pay this.

/rant over
