Sinotec Full HD TVs pass with full marks

Remove the h at the end it's Sinotec

The only grip I have with Sinotec is that you struggle to get replacement remote controls for them. My kid broke our remote in the first week after we got the TV and I can't manage to find a new or universal remote that works.

try one for all seems to work on everything and they have a local call centre, managed to find a code that worked on a logic tv my daughter messed up the remote

4x Sinotec displays bought in total so far, happy with each one - especially the latest 40" LED for my work/gaming.

(The older Sinotec LCD's had an issue with Red colour bleeding, but only really noticeable where white and red pixels are next to another - eg. Absa/Vodacom websites - not that I use either of those crooks :) )

Hi all

I purchased a Sinotec 32" Full HD via Takealot. Model is STL-32FD16. The box and all its stickers, manuals, promotional material, etc., indicated that it's Full HD. After the fake HD story run by MyBroadband I decided to use the EDID app shared here to test my unit. It did not render to 1080p. After contacting Takealot, I was told to contact Sinoprima directly. Sinoprima's tech rep simply brushed off my query with a one-line apology by saying that since I did not purchase a smart TV, my TV was not meant to be Full HD. When I said that I would be writing about my experience online, I was then asked about my testing methods. After sharing the link to the EDID app, I was asked to instead try a video on a USB stick - to which I responded that this would not prove what the panel's native resolution is. I am still awaiting feedback.

I am new to MyBroadband and I would like to share my email threads with the admins. If anyone can redirect me, I would be grateful.
