Sinotec MP-42T26 42 inch question

Guys (and girls) I'm looking at buying this TV second hand for R2 500. The TV is 3 years old so its still under warranty (of the original 5 years.

Does anybody here have one? Is it a good deal?

This is an interim solution - sold my 42 inch LG to buy a 51 inch LED, only to find the place I was looking to buy it from was out of stock and since then I spent most of the money. So I'm just looking at something to keep me going until I have enough spare cash to buy the TV I want.

Right now I'm sitting with a cr@ppy 70cm CRT with no remote and it drives me up the wall!

I have a Sinotec 42" TV with a 5 years warranty (not sure of the exact model though).

I have it for about 3 years now, and still very happy with it.

I rarely watch TV on it, it's connected to a media center and runs perfectly.

Like I said its not really a permanent solution, however I don't want to get rid of it once I get the one I'm looking for. It will go to our main bedroom. So I don't really want to buy something that I'd need to constantly struggle with.

i am still happy with it as my main TV but hopefully will upgrade to a LED / 3D soon

It gave a bit of a problem recently, got the makro boys out... they have taken the TV away and will be passing a credit on the unit (not sure at what value tbh)... while it was working it was good enough, and i'm happy with the after sales service from Makro as well.

If they were to credit you for the original price you bought it at...

If they do then massive BONUS! .. but i doubt it... I am only going to be pushing to get enough credit to replace the TV with the same size but newer model.
