Hi,
I have a problem with a Sinotec 55in tv. Picture is perfect, but it has a rythmic intermittent interference every six seconds or so, for about six seconds and then perfect again. It appears very similar to when an electric mixer would interfere with the picture of an old tube tv if it was run too close to it
The LED's are not affected, they remain on without fail, but it is as if the signal sent to the display gets garbled.
It gives the impression that the hardware is fine, but there is something intrusive messing with it. Could an external electrical anomaly affect the tv? I feel, without the technical expertise to know better, that if the display card was busted, there would never be a picture at all.
It is issued with a two pin power plug as standard and does not have an earth pin.
I have been toying with the idea of grounding the casing to see if that has any effect either way.
Could there be a setting that might cause the issue, or corrupted software? Could an update possibly help?
If anyone might have advice, I would be thankful.
