Sinus cold

I suffered from sinus and ear infections for years. Tinnitus and dizziness from viral infections in my ears and sinus so bad that my teeth would hurt. Went to see an ENT. He told me to keep my ears dry and I use cheap ear plugs from Dischem when I shower. Have not had any ear issues since. I was getting viral infections because of the conditions created by the moisture in my ears. I had a deviated septum repaired and have not had any sinus issues since. This has been a huge improvement in my quality of life.
+1 on fixing the deviated septum. Had it done at the start of the year and the result is just incredible. Had cold/flu already this year, but even then blocked sinuses weren't a problem at all.

Try adding more garlic to your food. If it is really bad then I suggest the neti pot daily and steamed towel to the face afterwards as well. If it lingers for more than 3 days then maybe a trip to the doctor is in order.

I also suffered from sinus for years.
In the end it became so bad - I got terrible toothache daily around 13:00 (The pain was so bad I wanted to cry).
Went to ENT and after a face X-Ray he discovered my sinus canals were totally blocked and my Septum was crooket.

Long story short : Had operation to straiten my Septum and clean my canals.
BEST thing I ever did.

One year later and still no pain or sinus problems.

My advice : Go see an ENT asap.

I dont suffer from sinus, just a head cold which is affecting my sinuses. I will do a salt rinse again later but I hate it. As the day progresses the pressure in my head, ears and gums increases.

May I ask what are you using as salt rinse and where can i get it?
Also suffering from this for a few days. I was on a flight few nights ago and this sinus pressure really worsened in flight to a point I almost cried. Literally felt my gums and teeth and cheek bones getting sore with the change in pressure.

Salt in warm water and then I squirt it in each nostril whilst keeping my mouth open but you need to do it multiple times a day.

I also got the red box of sinupret. Goodluck, its really ****

My sympathies to the sinal-infected, as I'm currently on an antibiotic course (almost finished) and Sinucon tabs for the same symptoms of several months.
The infection has spread from eustachion tubes and sinal cavities to the upper jaw, as upper teeth have turned black, painful, and possibly neck, throat and stomach. Pressure got to the point that I had a tonic seizure.
Begged neuro (and my GP) to refer me to an ENT which helped me a decade ago (fitted then as well).
Still waiting for response from them on ENT authorization....
Dentist said major work as upper jaw now basically not supporting teeth.
PS- I agree the antibio's have very little to no effect.
I like the (new to me) onion (MR.C) and Olbas (Nirv) deviated septum/ENT, BP rinse etc. ideas - plan to try them!!
/Thinks:
Me: "Helloooo honey...."
Other half: "Get your stinking onion breath outta my face!!!" Hee Hee.. :D
