Trying to connect to a remote SIP server on port 5060, but seems AfriHost is blocking this. Could this be the case?

MicroTik - Everything open on the router and technical teams think AfriHost may be blocking the port?

Please drop me a pm with your email address so I can investigate.

We don't block anything but NAt might play a role.

I have the exact same issue. Have been battling for almost 3 weeks now with afrihost
When connected to Afrihost none of my sip accounts (3) works - mobile and softphone and desk phone
When connected to mobile data they all work
Afrihost keeps saying it's Telviva but then why would all 3 fail if one of the three is not a Telviva sip account...
Attached you can clearly see that when connected via Afrihost (wifi or Lan) none of the sip accounts register
As soon as I am connected via mobile data they all connect
2 x sip.afrihost.com
1 x my work sip account

I have reset my router and left it off for almost an hour – the problem lies with Afrihost

I have been on WhatsApp support for almost 3 hours

Hi.

Please drop us a PM with your email address.

Must Admit I have no issues with Afrihost and SIP. I have Mikrotik routers, and apart from turning of SIP ALG and ensuring port forwarding is good, all works fine.

Check for any SIP/SIP ALG settings on your router. Very common issue

Changing IP should work if the SIP provider may be blocking it.

If that sorts it the issue is not Afrihost but the SIP providers blocking them.

Finally sorted... AH changed the IP and now it seems to be fine again...
Had a similar issue in the past. SIP provider blocked so many IPs, but my ISP at the time was cool about it and provided their IP blocks, which the SIP provider whitelisted.
