I use a laptop with mcafee on and it got site advisor. so from some sites I get this alarm.

Access to this website was blocked because McAfee Threat Intelligence was unable to analyze its content.

So how can the owner of the website prevent this, in order for me to see the site.

I'm assuming that this is your work laptop?

I have the same problem, I can't even log on to Gmail.

Funny enough, my other work laptop has no problems whatsoever logging into gmail.

Using advanced diagnostic skills will quickly lead you to discover the problem.

Hint: It does not lie with this website. Neither does it have anything to do with your mouse or the USB port. ;)

Steps?

If this were my own personal computer I would start by uninstalling McAfee. If that is not possible (eg work computer with policy set by someone else), I'd disable McAfee Site Advisor. It's too aggressive.

Even the founder of the company says don't use McAfee.

You mean this guy?

Somehow I don't think his opinion would matter to me at all.

But McAfee software has been crapware for a long, long time

He's a very clever guy and entertaining speaker. Don't judge based on crappy articles and false news reports.

John had it in with Intel many years ago, he made a YouTube video when Intel was redeveloping the product. Today the entire product is renewed, only the original logo sticks. Intel Security has a very strong enterprise product, but the lesser household products are by no means their competitors 'equivalent', also knowing which engine it really uses...

OP, see if you can remove or disable the McAfee plugin/extension in chrome.
I have disabled mine in Firefox.
