Six men were arrested after a robbery at a Sandton shopping centre in Johannesburg on Monday, police said.
They were taken into custody in Moffatview, north of Johannesburg, after a police chase.
"Members of the flying squad, with the assistance of the chopper, Gauteng traffic, and the [Johannesburg metro police department] gave chase, following a tracker signal," said Lt-Col Katlego Mogale.
The men apparently arrived at the Morning Glen Shopping Centre in three cars -- a silver-grey Volkswagen Polo, a white BMW, and a bakkie.
The Polo and the BMW had been hijacked in Jeppe, and the bakkie had been stolen in Hillbrow.
Police seized three unlicensed firearms and recovered two of the vehicles, cellphones, cameras and other electronic equipment which was believed to have been stolen.
