Size of image file?

What is the size in MB/GB of a full resolution photo. Yes it's dependent on res of camera, but what is rough order of magnitude?

It isn't just the resolution but also the compression. 7mp is roughly 3-5MB and 12mp is 6-8MB with near 100% compression. Other factors are the color composition. The more the color value average variates from the mean or iow lighter or darker images the smaller it will be.
