skills shortage

the lesson will never be learnt, probably only when SA ends up worse than Mugabeville.

I had a dream last night about the next boere oorlog, and i wasnt pretty...
For the 1st time since the english were here, we stood together

And ppl were dying like fleas...

Lol no more Wars for me. Africa was the biggest mistake my great grand parents made. I should be in Australia next year.

edit any doubts I had was wiped out on Saturday night when I witnessed a war zone at Design Qauter in Fourways.

This is absolute brilliant, why dont they just follow ESKOM lead and let ppl without the nesecarry skills do the work

The latter didnt the influence ESKOM function, NOT

Its about time the GVT learn, that just replacing ppl, will not work. Hey but its them making the decisions and yet we pay them

BURN SA, burn
What does this have to do with the government?

Shutdown at Sasol has always been a huge undertaking, with contractors pouring into Secunda from all over the country. These same contractors are now busy at Eskom. I expect Sasol will just pay a premium to source the necessary skills overseas.

Uhm, engineers have always been an extremely scarce resource in SA, even in the days of Apartheid. AA doesn't really affect them in any meaningful way.

All the engineering students I know (about 80) got jobs within 2 months of finishing at Uni. What was your point again? :p

Since engineers only do what they are told by their AA managers. I wonder who takes responsibility for all the f$%k ups.

Thats right, because whatever the facts are, we know that AA is somehow responsible.

The contractors have to take responsibility. If they **** up, they don't get paid (and \ or penalties are levied against them).
