Skrill - Anyone using it?

Is anyone using Skrill as an online payment system? Your opinions on it?
I'm looking at this as an alternative to Paypal, specifically as a means to receive funds rather than making payments.

Skrill is more popular in Europe and in the gambling industry. Some web merchants accept Skrill. Web4Africa accepts Skrill for web hosting and domain names.

Used it (and moneybookers as it was called before) when it wasn't illegal to play online poker.

They charged me a fee to send the money to my SA bank account and my bank also charged me to receive it, and the rate I generally got from my bank was terrible compared to the market rate. (Note: I would also get a call from my bank to ask the source of the funds. I would generally say consulting work)

I suppose if you use the prepaid mastercard they now offer it would work out.

Why not look at neteller and their Net+ card?

I use it to receive money from my freelance work from odesk.
Funds go to Skrill and then a European bank account.

I'm busy with another online credit provider because skrill will not give me a credit card even though I'm a European living in SA.
Simply put, they told me they do not provide any service to Africa.

Still trying to work out a few things along the way...
