Hi Guys,

I have a Mic so don't need a headset with a mic included. I bought a Skullcandy Hesh2.0 over the weekend and I'm actually wondering now if it was such a good idea. Will be used mainly for watching movies and crap on the Tablet while in bed and the wife is watching something on TV or sleeping. But will also be used for gaming.

Is it an ok headset or should I rather get something else?

Get something else immediately.
Skullcandy headphones are terrible.

My son had a R600 pair of SkullCandy headphones.
I just replaced them with a R400 pair of Tritton Triggers and he couldn't be happier on all fronts.
They are more comfortable and the sound is like night and day.
Skullcandy is literally a gimmick for people that like colors on their headphones.

Sums it up, SKullCandy spend a lot of time on marketing and coming up with colourful designs that attract kids, but the products themselves are terrible.

Rather get yourself a nice set of Sennheisers or something similar.

Sigh,

Not what I wanted to hear
I actually bought it specifically since my old headset broke in the cord where the ear cup starts. These have a detachable cable and the reason I bought it so I can just replace the cable. Guess I should start looking for something else then and pass these on to the laaitjie. Which brands do you guys suggest. Needs to be over the ears, needs to have the removable cable even wireless if within budget. Around R 600 - 800.

One thing I like about Skullcandy is the lifetime guarantee. One ear randomly dies? Just send it to Skullcandy for a replacement.

If you enjoy it keep it, some people tend to get too wrapped up in reviews. Although with a budget like R600-R800 you don't spend it on Skullcandy.

Had it now a couple of days since my return from CPT.

They fit nicely, very good sound (no audiophile) good base and brilliant for watching movies and playing the odd game. I'll hold on replacing them for a bit. Pretty chuffed with these. Also the lifetime warrantee is plus.

Have to admit, kids say I look like an alien now when I have it on. It's has pretty big cups.
