I bought a second pair for myself as one is always at the PC and the other is moving all over the house, from the wife, to the kids and back to hanging over the bed post for late night movie watching.

Anyway, the one side went dead (speaker) Earphones is a perfect condition and just shy of one year old. My older pair at the PC is still perfect. I read there is a lifetime warrantee on these headphones. Anyone know how I go about claiming? Do I go through Luks Brands or do I do it through Takealot?

Is the cable detachable? Most likely it is not the headphone but the cable that you can just replace.

Yea, detachable. I can try moving the cable from my old one to the newer one. But even if it's the cable, will still need replacing. I don't want to go buy a damn cable :o

While typing this is remembered:
The newer one has a thinner cable than the older one. I wondered why that was. It's both Hesh2 but the one has a thicker cable than the other. The newer one also doesn't have the gold plated prongs like the older one. Must be the cable them I'm sure of it. Will feedback tonight.

This is a good opportunity to replace the Skullcandy stuff with some decent headphones, don't waste it! :p

Have you seen the price of good wireless headphones these days?

I would like this pair of Bose's or Parrot Zik 2 but to pay R5K I can't convice myself.

R800 headphones will have to do

Yea, my Candies are very good especially for Online games. They definitely punch above their price range. This warrantee thing is good too. I will feedback on how it goes.

Yeah I think the Hesh 2.0 are decent headphones for the price

Just not very good looking if you wear them in the office our out and about. Looks too much like gun range ear protectors.

Don't hate.

I love these earphones to bits :o

Come to the dark (Sennheiser) side, we have [-]cookies[/-] crystal clear highs and emotive lows.

R800 can still get you some decent wired cans, though it's certainly an area where a little extra goes a long way. I haven't been a fan of wireless headphones, found them heavy and compromised unless they were very expensive. I picked up a pair of Sennheiser HD558s in the Netherlands for R2000 and they're insanely good at everything, highly recommended.

So tried it last night and yes, it's the cable.

Figured I'll log a warranty request. They e-mail me, tell me I should drop it off at the Mall of Africa kiosk, and they will give me 50% off on a set of my choice... Not worth the hassle so I will just order 2 more cables from luksbrand's website.
